Say 'Yes' to ULH reach, 50 GHz channel spacing and ROADM tolerance

Since the introduction of 40 Gbps products more than 5 years ago, the industry has been searching for a solution that doesn’t require compromises when deployed on 10 Gbps infrastructure. Early product generations could deliver the reach but not the channel spacing or vice versa.

Not being satisfied with that situation our engineers developed (and patented) Adaptive-DPSK. For the first time a DPSK signal was compatible with 50 GHz channel spacing. Further more, the signal is so tolerant to filtering that in-line ROADMs are no problem. Combined with our industry leading configurable pulse format enabling both NRZ and RZ formats to give enhanced non-linearity and PMD tolerance, Adaptive-DSPK is the total solution.

We’ve also improved the density and reliability of our latest solution. Based on the emerging ATCA300 industry standard, our new MI 40000XS platform can fit 280 Gbps per shelf for a total of 840 Gbps per bay. This includes all the necessary per channel Adaptive Dispersion Compensation and optical power management that’s now a Mintera trademark for ease of deployment.
