Mintera Achieves IS0 9001:2008 Registration

Acton, Mass., Aug 17, 2009 – Mintera® Corporation, the high performance optical transport systems solutions leader, today announced a major milestone – the company has had its Quality System certified to the internationally recognized ISO 9001:2008 standard.

“We are delighted to receive certification, demonstrating our commitment to quality and continuous improvement,” said Mintera President and CEO, Terry Unter. “Implementing an ISO9001:2008 Quality System was a significant factor in successfully achieving volume shipments of our market leading MI 4000XM ADPSK™ product. Earlier this year we also completed full GR-468 qualification demonstrating the reliability of the product design to rigorous industry environmental standards. Customers are clearly pleased with the quality of both Mintera’s products and our processes.”

The patent-pending Adaptive-DPSK technology incorporated in the MI 4000XM DWDM sub-system enables 40 Gbps transport on 50GHz channel-spaced systems and transmission over agile ROADM networks without compromising critical ULH reach. The unit conforms to the industry standard footprint and incorporates an electrical Mux/Demux for compatibility with any 40 Gbps framer. The module has a 300-pin MSA connector with support for the appropriate I2C commands, thus enabling simple hardware and software integration.

“Working toward ISO 9001:2008 certification involved every employee in analyzing and challenging all aspects of Mintera’s operations resulting in improvements to both what we do and how we do it,” said Mintera VP Operations, Gary Seagraves. “We are particularly pleased to have achieved registration on our first attempt.”
