Mintera Enhances Customer Focus with Expansion of Operations Rick Lane Joins as VP Operations Acton, MA—October 29, 2008—Mintera® Corporation, the high bit-rate optical transport systems solution leader, today announced the appointment of Rick Lane as Vice President, Operations. Mr. Lane is responsible for managing the production of Mintera’s 40 Gbps and 100 Gbps transport solutions and he assumes responsibility for oversight of the company’s supplier and contract manufacturing relationships. “I am excited to welcome Rick to the Mintera team,” said Mintera CEO Terry Unter. “His excellent experience in bringing leading-edge technology products from concept to volume manufacturing will be essential as we ramp our supply chain to meet the growing demands of our customers. The added strength in Operations will also allow us to put increased emphasis on quality systems.” Mr. Lane brings a broad base of business experience in creating and growing high technology business operations. His experience was gained by producing a number of first-to-market products such as the first 18 GHz wireless LAN, the first personal two way wireless handheld messaging devices and the first 56 kbps analog modem. More recently, Mr. Lane focused his business operations experience to drive the separation of an IP router and managed network services division from Motorola to become an independent, profitable business. New and modified processes in product development, new product introduction, information technology and manufacturing outsourcing were all key components of the changes Mr. Lane drove to create the profitable stand alone operation. Mr. Lane holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College in Easton, PA.
