40 Gbps DWDM Transport
The MI 40000XS provides a 40 Gbps transport subsystem for use on DWDM line systems, providing today's lowest cost per bit fiber optic transport for communication networks. Using advanced modulation formats 40 Gbps signals can be transported up to 1500 km over 2.5 Gbps or 10 Gbps DWDM systems. With the ability to connect to the latest generation of 40 Gbps client interfaces from IP routers as well as existing 10 Gbps client interfaces for transport it provides the complete solution.
Scaling Today's Networks to New Heights
The MI 40000XS provides adaptive dispersion compensation for seamless integration without re-engineering the network or changing existing link dispersion compensation. In addition, the OC-768/STM-256 and OC-192/STM-64 client interfaces provide end-to-end client signal integrity with full overhead transparency, including timing, over the 40 Gbps transport wavelengths.
The Power of the MI 40000XS
The MI 40000XS architecture is built to meet the needs of carriers, large enterprises, educational institutions, and government agencies committed to deploying high performance optical networks. The MI 40000XS is a versatile, modular, rack mountable, Telco grade chassis with a capacity of 280 Gbps; it can be deployed as a standalone system or in a stack of multiple chassis, managed as a single entity.
The MI 40000XS uses Mintera's innovative optical technology to deliver 40 Gbps transmission with a small footprint. The architecture and product portfolio support a large selection of hot swappable, front-loaded modules that easily and quickly plug into the chassis, augmented with redundant power, management cards and fan trays. The Mintera pay-as-you-grow solution provides the most cost effective way of expanding transmission systems in a flexible fashion, providing 40 Gbps transmission when and where needed with minimal effort.
